Custom Woodworking
I am a custom woodworker that specializes in creating unique & bespoke furniture in Northern New Mexico and (soon) Northwestern Arkansas.
Custom Projects:
Live Edge Media Console (sold)
This media console was part of an upcycling project using the metal legs from a side table that was destined for donation or the trash. The materials used are Juniper slabs sourced locally from the Eastern Mountains of Northern New Mexico, and furniture grade plywood that was painted for a pop of color.
Live Edge Side Table (Sold)
This side table merges the natural world with the industrial world, utilizing raw earth materials with man-made steel. The wood I used was a Juniper slab cutoff from another project, and the brushed steel base was part of a side table that was going to be thrown out. The piece of steel joining the wood pieces was a spare part I found on the ground that had no further function. This piece highlights the upcycling process, and there was little to no waste created during the building and assembly phase.
Live Edge Bench (sold)
The first project I made. This Live Edge Bench combined natural elements with a modern design, and fit with any outdoor arrangement. The wood I used was Juniper sourced locally from the Eastern Mountains of Northern New Mexico. The legs are coated steel to resist weathering and were custom made into a U shape.
Mid-Century Modern media console (sold)
This Media Console was made with a combination of Pine and MDF boards. The trim and hairpin style legs accentuate the Mid-Century Modern look and the shelving section allows for additional storage. This was my first Mid-Century Modern piece, and since this project I have loved incorporating more elements of this style into my other designs.
Live Edge Wine Rack (available)
This live edge wine rack was made from a combination of Juniper slabs and a piece of a sustainably sourced Alligator Juniper slab. The interior wine rack structure was a store bought item. This piece takes something ordinary and turns it into a one of a kind piece of furniture.
Custom Display Installment
This two piece installment was a project I recently completed for a local chocolate shop in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The chocolate shop is called “Kakawa”; its flagship location is on Paseo De Peralta. The focus for the client here was to let as much light in as possible to highlight the displayed items. It was important to her to have something that was handcrafted & custom built as opposed to a lifeless, store bought shelf. The wood I used was Poplar, finished with two coats of “Fruitwood” stain. If you are in Santa Fe, feel free to drop by, check it out, and get some treats while you’re at it!
UPcycled Console table (sold)
A fun and unique design. I made the middle storage section out of Plywood, Pine and Poplar cutoffs from other projects. The left and right sides were actually side tables that I took a set of legs off of for my first live edge media console (pictured here on the website). I reused them for this project and attached them to the middle storage section. The small door uses a 2 hinge system for more stability and these specific hinges allow the door to sit flush. A small magnetic lock keeps it shut. The stain used is Minwax in the color “Early American”.
Custom Live Edge media console (sold)
One of my most custom pieces to date. This live edge media console includes elements such as hand cut wooden inlay, custom routed slots in the middle leg for the shelving, and custom trim work. The metal legs were taken off another piece that was no longer being used, giving it an element of upcycling as well. The wood used on this project includes Juniper, Oak and Poplar. It is sealed with a natural beeswax solution and the middle leg and shelving are stained with Minwax “Early American” stain.

About:
I was born and raised in Northern New Mexico and grew up spending most of my time outside in nature. Design, and wood itself, has always been a big part of my life. Since childhood, I’ve enjoyed building and creating things, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I started to work with wood as my favorite medium. It really is my greatest passion in life (besides my beautiful wife Tashina!) and getting to create unique & one-of-a-kind pieces for people is truly special. For a large part of my adult life, I worked in the moving industry which gave me an affinity for bespoke furniture and the stories behind it. My hope is to tell a story through the pieces I create and make furniture that will stay with people & their families for generations.
